The Project

e360Digital, a full-service digital agency, undertook a logo design project for Guitar Pickups Direct (GPD), a specialized online platform focusing on electric guitar accessories.

Client Brief

GPD sought a visually striking logo that embodied funkiness and quality, reflecting their commitment to a broad range of premium products and exceptional service. The client emphasized the importance of the logo’s association with electric guitars and desired a color scheme that incorporated navy and deep red.

Target Audience

The target audience comprised experienced electric guitar players, pickup self-builders, as well as owners of Cream T guitars and Relish guitars.

Design Direction

The target audience comprised experienced electric guitar players, pickup self-builders, as well as owners of Cream T guitars and Relish guitars.

Design Concept

Our initial concept for the GPD logo centered on creating a visually captivating, text-based logo. The integration of the “Guitar Pickups Direct” text in a dynamic font layout was aimed at capturing the attention of the target audience. However, the accompanying graphic did not effectively communicate the essence of electric guitars and pickup.

So, we explored the possibility of framing the logo within a rectangle, enhancing its resemblance to a pickup and amplifying the connection to the brand’s niche.
